Stock Forecasting & Ordering Desk

Owns daily stock ordering across all 16 stores — the forecasting Stocky does today, with a purchase-order suggestion for every store waiting before you open.

40–60 daily reports, gone

The per-store, per-SKU forecasting that ran by hand off Stocky — now suggestions are ready before 8am, no report runs.

Before

Stock forecasting and ordering ran by hand off Stocky — 40 to 60 individual reports a day across 16 stores, climbing as the chain grows toward 20. With Stocky switched off on 31 August and no native Shopify replacement, the work had nowhere to land.

What they own

  • Pull nightly sales and inventory per store, per SKU from Shopify and work out demand over a configurable window — An ordering signal that's current every morning, with no manual report runs
  • Apply the chain's ordering rules — seasonal exclusions, a three-day suggest window, per-store budget caps, freight minimums — Suggestions that already fit how the team orders, not raw numbers to clean up
  • Cross-reference supplier forward-order spreadsheets and net off stock already incoming — Nobody re-orders what's already on the water
  • Top up under-threshold orders with eligible best-sellers to clear freight minimums — No order stranded just below the freight line
  • Flag the exceptions — items near budget cap, low stock, incoming stock, or a missing monthly budget — The team sees what needs a decision, not 40 reports to read
