How AI Partner works
What the partnership delivers, how your team takes part and what changes when you choose to hire a Handler.

Concept preview: AI Partner is a proposed offer. Prices and terms are not approved for sale. Existing customer agreements are unchanged.
AI Partner is human expertise from Handle, applied to your business. Advice focuses on operational efficiency and strategic adoption of AI. Handlers are the AI workers doing ongoing operational work. The partnership is optional, and useful advice does not require you to hire a Handler.
Start with the business, not a tool
We agree the priorities and scope with you, then build a shared picture of how the work runs. The advice produces three portable outputs:
- A current-state map: processes, handovers, systems and constraints.
- A baseline: the information needed to judge whether a change is worthwhile.
- Ranked options: practical next steps, including non-AI improvements, readiness work or a no-fit conclusion.
You keep these outputs whether or not you buy a Handler subscription. You should leave understanding where AI fits your business and what to prioritise. We build and sell Handlers, so this is vendor-led advice—not independent consultancy. We recommend other products where they fit better, but don’t build implementations in those products. A Handler role should be recommended because the work justifies it, not to justify the partnership fee.
Your team’s part
Nominate an accountable owner. Involve the people who know the work, including operational and technical colleagues. Share representative examples, validate the baseline and agree priorities, boundaries and success criteria.
Your team approves scope changes and spend, authorises data, access and actions, and participates in testing and feedback. This is not hands-free operation or constant human supervision.
If you choose to hire a Handler
First agree a Handler job description. Then approve its product subscription, management coverage and any additional costs. Authorising the purchase does not itself authorise access to your systems or actions on your behalf.
Handle trains, tests, manages and improves agreed Handlers within scope. Roles launch sequentially against an agreed plan, not all at once. Additional roles, capacity or custom Handler work require authorised costs and contract additions; there is no promised launch time or guaranteed saving.
See working with Handlers and the security and governance model for product behaviour and controls.
What you pay for
There are separate purchases:
- The partnership: advice, shared context, coordination, reviews and included management slots.
- Additional management slots: management of extra agreed Handlers within the existing advisory scope. Extra slots do not broaden consulting coverage. Small and Medium have management caps of 3 and 9 Handlers.
- Handler product subscriptions: capacity for each hired Handler, charged separately. One slot is not a subscription; Full time 4x is still one Handler.
- Authorised additional usage: capacity beyond what is otherwise available. Each fully paid partnership month grants additional product capacity. That grant cannot pay for subscriptions, fees, advice or management slots.
Granted extra capacity follows standard additional-capacity rules, with rollover for up to 12 months. Management slots are monthly and do not roll over. See Handler capacity for included weekly capacity, sharing and expiry, and partnership pricing for proposed fees and scope.
Keep the advice relevant
You work with a shared Handle team. Advice is available as needed within the agreed scope, with formal quarterly reviews. Handle assigns delivery staff; even reserved senior capacity on Large is not an exclusive full-time employee or unlimited engineering.
Headcount is an indicative guide to tier fit, not an automatic upgrade trigger. Wider coverage and moves beyond a management cap are agreed together.
Commitment and a useful stopping point
The proposed monthly partnership is cancellable monthly. Quarterly reviews set the review cadence, not a quarterly lock-in. Annual prepayment would save 10% on the partnership fee only; product subscriptions follow their own billing terms. Final cancellation and annual refund terms remain to be agreed.
We don’t recommend a long-term advice-only partnership; customers get more ongoing value when Handlers are doing useful work. If useful Handler work is unlikely, we agree a clean stop or a scoped advisory month rather than an unsuitable hire. Ending the partnership does not change your separate Handler subscriptions.
