What to Expect from First Hire
The full First Hire timeline, time commitment, price, and what happens once the six months are up.
First Hire is a six-month engagement to scope, train, and run up to three fully managed Handlers. This is what it actually involves, week by week.
The timeline
- 20% deposit. The engagement begins. If you’ve completed Discovery within the last 30 days, that $6,000 is credited here.
- Week 1 — Scope. Handle’s team sits with yours, looks at how the work actually runs, and writes (or finalises) the job descriptions for up to three Handlers.
- Weeks 2–4 — Build & trial. Handlers go live on real work. You see results before the remaining payment is due.
- Remaining payment due, once the trial has proven value.
- Remaining 5 months — included. Full-time Handler capacity, fully managed by Handle, at no additional cost.
Time commitment
About four weeks of active involvement up front — sitting in the scoping session, reviewing the trial. After that, roughly 30 minutes a week while Handle keeps managing your Handlers.
Price
$30,000 upfront.
What happens after the six months
You choose: stay on Managed Handlers and Handle keeps tuning the processes and integrations, or take over management yourselves and move to Full-time pricing. See ongoing pricing for both.
Skipping Discovery
You don’t have to do Discovery first. If you already have a clear brief for what you want to hand off, book an intake call and start directly with Week 1.
