How Discovery Works

What happens across Discovery's four sessions, what you walk away with, and how the $6,000 credits toward First Hire.

Discovery is Handle’s paid, founder-led starting point — four sessions that map where Handlers are the right solution for your business, and where they’re not. It’s the recommended starting point for teams who aren’t yet sure what to hand off.

The four sessions

Discovery runs across four one-hour sessions, with Handle’s team working in between each one.

  1. Session 1 — Download

We map your business model and operational constraints.

  2. In between

We synthesise what we heard and formulate the questions that matter.

  3. Session 2 — Probe

A working session — we ask targeted questions and probe where a Handler could take on real value.

  4. In between

We draft Handler job descriptions based on what we've learned.

  5. Session 3 — Pitch

We pitch the proposed Handler roles and get your feedback.

  6. In between

We iterate and finalise the roles.

  7. Session 4 — Present

We present the findings and pitch what a First Hire engagement would look like.

Time commitment

4 hours of your time, spread across the four sessions. The work between sessions is ours.

What you keep

Handler job descriptions — specific, written, ready to act on — regardless of whether you go on to First Hire. See What Is a Handler Job Description? for what that deliverable actually looks like.

The credit

Discovery costs $6,000. If you proceed to First Hire within 30 days of finishing Discovery, the full $6,000 is credited toward the engagement.

What’s next

Discovery ends with a First Hire pitch. If you’re ready, see What to Expect from First Hire — or go straight to booking Discovery.
